MustardSeed is a revolutionary charitable giving app. It rounds up your everyday purchases to the nearest dollar and donates that change to the church or ministry you care about. Simply download the app or sign up online and start changing the world with your spare change.
Each time you make a purchase with your credit or debit card, the purchase amount is rounded up to the nearest dollar. Those extra cents are then donated to the ministry or church of your choice. For example, if you spend $2.25 on a coffee, $0.75 will be given to ministry.
Anyone! Though MustardSeed supports Christian ministries, anyone may give to these ministries, regardless of their faith.
MustardSeed benefits thousands of Christian ministries, churches and organizations across the United States and around the world. Your donations support church planting and evangelism, national and international missions, disaster relief, women’s and children’s ministries, Christian universities and seminaries, plus thousands of local churches.

Each month, your donations are transferred to a 501(c)(3) Donor Advised Fund. Donations are then sent to the users’ selected ministries following a brief holding period, typically 15 days or less.

MustardSeed virtually rounds your transactions, tracking your spare change behind the scenes. This means that your bank/credit accounts will show the ORIGINAL purchase amounts for each transaction, not the rounded amount. Round-up debits on your bank/credit statements will be listed with the description: “Make My Donation - MustardSeed.”
Donations will be withdrawn from your account each time your round-ups reach $5.
It can take up to a day for a new transaction to appear on your MustardSeed dashboard, depending on your bank. Therefore, you may experience a delay between the time you make a purchase and the time it appears as a round up in the MustardSeed app.
You can view gift amounts (monthly and total) on your MustardSeed dashboard. You can also choose to receive automatic push notifications and/or emails regarding your contributions under MustardSeed’s “Settings” page.
You can set a monthly limit on your donations. The minimum monthly limit is $5. To choose a monthly limit, go to MustardSeed’s “Settings” page and select “Monthly Limit.” You can also pause your round-ups at any time.
Yes. You can view your receipts at any time on MustardSeed’s “Settings” page.
Very. MustardSeed does not store your bank/credit account numbers, logins or passwords. Instead, we employ industry-leading providers Stripe and Plaid to protect your financial information. (Stripe manages transactions on your bank/credit accounts; Plaid calculates your round-ups.)
MustardSeed and its partners (beneficiaries) do not sell or share information about MustardSeed users.
